A New Era for Weazel News

SAN ANDREAS – Weazel News is back. But not as you remember it.

After a change in editors, a complete redesign, and a renewed sense of purpose, Weazel News has been acquired and reinvented from the ground up. What was once a familiar name in San Andreas journalism is entering a new era, one built around truth, accountability, and the people who call this state home.

Our mission is simple:

Report the truth, investigate the story, and let the facts speak for themselves.

Weazel News will strive to provide unbiased, thoroughly investigated journalism without allowing personal relationships, political pressure, wealth, status, or influence to determine what gets reported. We aren’t interested in being the loudest voice in San Andreas. We want to be one of the most trusted.

An Unlikely New Beginning

The story behind Weazel News’ revival may be just as unexpected as some of the stories we intend to cover.

The organization is now led by a reformed former gang leader, someone who has experienced a very different side of San Andreas and has made the decision to turn over a new leaf.

His past isn’t being hidden. It’s part of the reason this new chapter exists.

After witnessing firsthand both the best and worst that San Andreas has to offer, Tanner Summerland wants to use this opportunity to give something back to the state. Rather than contributing to its problems, his goal is now to celebrate its people, demand accountability from those entrusted with power, and help restore meaningful journalism to San Andreas.

People can change. Organizations can change.

Weazel News is proof that sometimes a new chapter can begin in the most unexpected places.

Journalism With a Purpose

This isn’t just a new website and a fresh coat of paint.

The reinvented Weazel News intends to put journalism back at the center of what we do.

That means investigating before publishing. It means hearing multiple sides of a story. It means separating rumor from fact. And it means being willing to ask difficult questions, even when the answers may make powerful people uncomfortable.

Weazel News intends to investigate them and shine a spotlight on what the public deserves to know.

But journalism shouldn’t exist solely to expose what is wrong.

We also want to celebrate what is right about San Andreas.

We want to tell the stories of the citizens building businesses, helping their communities, protecting their neighborhoods, creating opportunities, entertaining the state, and simply doing something worth recognizing. Behind every headline is a person, and some of the best stories in San Andreas have never been given the attention they deserve.

Your State. Your Stories. Your News.

San Andreas never stops moving.

We intend to be there for all of it.

This new Weazel News will work to keep citizens informed about what is happening locally while providing a platform where the people of San Andreas can have their stories heard.

If something important is happening, we want to know about it.

If something doesn’t seem right, we want to investigate it.

If someone deserves recognition, we want to tell their story.

And if those entrusted with power betray that trust, we intend to ask why.

We know trust isn’t something a news organization can simply announce that it deserves. It has to be earned—one article, one investigation, and one correction at a time.

So consider this our introduction.

A new ownership.
A new design.
A new mission.

But one familiar name.

Welcome back to Weazel News.

The story of San Andreas is being written every day. We’re here to report it.
